Another Holiday Season is upon us and Goofy Faces has been very busy this year. More businesses have booked our artists for their company parties than they did a year ago. Many families have also hired us to liven up their get-togethers at home. Above are a few samples from this year's events.
This year's annual caricature convention was a very special one. The International Society of Caricature Artists celebrated it's 20 anniversary at the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach, Florida. Over 125 artists attended and competed for the top awards in the caricature business. This was my first convention in 6 years in which I was simply an attendee after serving on the board since 2005. It was nice to have time to draw for a change as well as get drawn by many other talented artists. My theme for my gallery this year was "If I were Batman...". The samples shown here are some funny versions of a few artist friends of mine who have also worked for Goofy Faces in the past.
Every Christmas Season, Lecom hires Robert Bauer to design their annual Holiday Invitation. This year's theme was saluting the troops at Christmas via the USO and the Liberty Bells. In addition to designing the invite, Goofy Faces also provided artists to draw and entertain the guests, including the Liberty Bells. Money raised during the party was donated to the USO to continue their wonderful work with our armed forces. Pictured above in blue is Kaitlin Monte, Miss New York, 2011. You can help her reach the Miss America Pageant by clicking her name above. Each Bell enjoyed their caricatures while other guests looked on in delight during the party.
