About the Artist
Ricardo started drawing retail caricatures in his hometown swapmeet between summers while attending CalArts, where he majored in Character Animation. He then moved on to drawing at festivals and private functions. He got his start in retail caricatures working for Goofy Faces at the L.A. Zoo. Most recently, he worked for Samsung as a digital caricature artist, using their new tablet phone with a stylus pen to draw guests at the Beverly Center Mall in Los Angeles. He's interned and worked at Disney as a character designer and is currently freelancing as an Illustrator while drawing caricatures on the side. He's a member of the International Society of Caricature Artists and this year was awarded Rookie of the Year, 1st Place in Outstanding Black and White Technique, and 8th Place in Top Ten Caricaturists of the Year, by ISCA members. Caricature is one of his passions, and your guests will be laughing at their cartoon portraits. He's also personable and super friendly! Paper size "9x12"
