About the Artist
For James, creating caricature, in a live or illustrative format, is like no other art form. Each and every face brings a unique challenge, because no two faces are the same. It gives him great satisfaction to capture a person's essence on paper, an exaggeration of that person, yet still holding their likeness. Since 1989, James has been doing commissioned caricature and publication illustrations for various corporations and publications, working in both traditional (inks and watercolors) and digital mediums (Photoshop, Illustrator, FreeHand). Other mediums he utilizes for his illustration include pen and ink, graphite and airbrush and watercolor.
