About the Artist
Michael has been drawing since he was 2. He started freelancing at 14 when he was hired to do courtroom sketches for the local newspaper in his hometown of Rock Hill SC. By 17 he had become one of the top-grossing pastel portrait artists at Carowinds Amusement Park on the SC/NC border. Since then Michael attended and graduated with honors from the Ringling College of Art in Sarasota Florida where he has taught art for 30 years. Some of his most noteworthy clients are Topps, Marvel and DC Comics, Amoco Oil, Delta Airlines, Tropicana and Yale University. Michael's professionalism, quick wit, love of people and passion for art have made him one of the most sought-after caricaturists in South Florida. His philosophy is simple "If it's not fun I'm not doing it!"
