About the Artist
Mike graduated from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where he earned a BFA with distinction in illustration. As a freelance illustrator, his focus is celebrity caricature and his paintings have appeared in numerous national magazines including Rolling Stone, TV Guide, and Sports Illustrated for Kids. Currently, Mike is a frequent contributor to Entertainment Weekly. Mike started drawing caricatures at events in the early 90's as a way to supplement his freelance illustration assignments. As more and more requests for event caricature rolled in, it seemed like a good idea to make it a regular part of his livelihood. Whether painting a celebrity for print, or drawing a guest at a party, Mike has a knack for capturing an unmistakable likeness in a fun and pleasing style. As your party caricaturist, he will keep your guests entertained and leave them with a one of a kind souvenir to remind them of your special event.
