About the Artist
After years as a professional graphic designer, a layoff encouraged me to pursue my love of drawing faces with a keen eye, and distinctly in a NOT scary or “theme-park†style, capturing a flattering likeness with a illustrative feel. Since there are many styles that are still loosely called caricatures, this was the most natural path for me. People often are amazed that not only do they see themselves, and often refer to their drawing as "spot-on", but think they look better than in real life and look forward to framing them. The key to any exaggeration that I may opt for in my estimation is to take features that are possibly a little more prominent but not necessarily would perceive as negative and exaggerate those, for example, eyes, smile, etc. 2024 marks my 21st year drawing and gigging professionally!  Â
