About the Artist
After years as a professional graphic designer, a layoff encouraged me to pursue my love of drawing faces with a keen eye, and distinctly in a NOT hideous or theme-park style, capturing a flattering, likeness with an illustrative feel. Since there are many styles that are still loosely called caricatures, this was the most natural path for me. People often are amazed that not only do they see themselves, and often refer to their drawings as "spot-on", but think they look better than in real life and look forward to framing them. The key to any exaggeration that I may opt for is to take features that are possibly a little more prominent but not necessarily would perceive as negative and exaggerate those, for example, eyes, smile, etc. 2026 marks my 23rd year drawing and gigging professionally!
