About the Artist
Ben came to L.A. from the suburban wastelands of the Midwest in 1998 with a degree in painting and rock n' roll dreams. A few wild years later,he settled into doing illustration - concert posters, books, t-shirts, whatever paid the bills. He'd worked summers in college drawing caricatures at a Six Flags, and was able to put those skills to use as an illustrator, and even worked as a caricaturist at Universal Studios for a period. After the birth of the first of his two kids, he got a job as an illustrator for an advertising company, and quickly rose to an Art Director position. He still draws caricatures at parties and events, both to sharpen his skills and to meet new people. In his spare time,he makes rock n' roll songs, watches classic and foreign films, and hangs out with his kids.
