About the Artist

I was born. I crawled. I drew. That’s pretty much how it went with me. I’ve been drawing and painting and creating since I was old I saw a girl doing caricatures in a mall and thought, “I want to do that,” so I set out to learn the style of cartooning and caricature. I practiced and practiced and did some gigs for free, and went and worked at Ocean City, Maryland for a summer and felt ready (she said, laughing). I’ve been doing it for over 30 years now and I love making people happy, going to parties, and generally having a good time. I also have my artwork in many basements across the country. It may be worth more when I’m gone! I’m still learning and trying new ways of indicating facial expressions and hair (very difficult!) with minimal strokes, always the goal for quickdraw artists like caricature artists.
