Tradeshow Booth Planning – 3 Easy Steps

Tradeshow Booth Planning – 3 Easy Steps

Planning for your Upcoming Tradeshow!Tradeshow season is just around the corner. There are many benefits to a business having a booth. It is a great way to showcase a company’s credibility, talents, and expand its reach. When planning for the show, it’s important to keep the following statistics in mind:

  • 46% of attendees are executives or upper management
  • 82% of attendees have buying power
  • Attendees will tell more than six people about their experience
  • The #1 goal for attending is to find new products

Keeping all of that in mind, how does a business create a standout booth to engage the best of the best? Don’t worry! Goofy Faces is here to help you make a plan!

Step One: The early planning process

Most planning for tradeshows begins six to nine months before. Make sure to take time to determine what your budget, goals, and objectives are. Then do the research to find the right tradeshow for your company to attend. Click here to begin your search.

Step Two: The design process

Once you’ve chosen the right tradeshow to attend for your business, there is a lot to consider.

Determine booth design. Make sure to consider everything from the guest’s perspective: lighting, open space, color palette, seating and meeting options, etc.

Choosing the right size booth. The average booth size is 10×10. But this might not work for the design and layout you’re planning. Take the time to map everything out and remember attendees will take up roughly 50% of the booth’s footprint.

Step Three: Creating the experience

Remember you’re creating an experience for your attendees from the moment they step foot in your booth. But how exactly does a business do this?

Build the hype before you go. Let your colleagues, customers, and suppliers know where you’re headed. Maybe even give them a sneak peek of what they might see. This can be done via a newsletter, social media, company blog, email, etc.

Determine team roles. Before you leave for the tradeshow, make sure everyone on the team is on the same page about goals and objectives. Assign everyone a specific role and make sure they stick to it for the duration of the event. Role examples are crowd gatherers, hosts, presenters, technical staff, and sales staff.

Find the right promotional items. They will help your company stand out and make your logo more recognizable. Need help choosing the right item? Click here to see what’s trending.

Determine entertainment for your booth. This is where Goofy Faces comes in! Having our artists in your tradeshow booth will attract more traffic and keep people hanging around to watch (aka enough time for your team to spark up a conversation about your company and its products). The Goofy Faces method is as simple as ABC:

  • Attendees line up to get FREE caricatures.
  • Branded caricatures continue to sell even after the tradeshow ends.
  • Completed on customized paper to reflect your company or products.

Planning for your Upcoming Tradeshow!Goofy Faces has over 500 artists located throughout the United States. And finding an artist is easy to do with our online directory. Click here. If you have any questions, contact us here. Also, we understand some tradeshows are virtual now. Goofy Faces offers virtual caricature services too. Visit goofyfaces.com/zoom-party-caricatures/ to learn more.

As you begin planning for your upcoming tradeshow, don’t let the details bog you down too much. This is a very exciting time and a creative way to generate NEW business for your company. Lastly, remember this about tradeshow attendees:

  • 52% are more likely to enter a booth if they’re offering some kind of giveaway or freebie.
  • 64% are not current customers of any businesses at a trade show
  • 92% are there to learn about new and exciting products and services

Check out what our past clients are saying about Goofy Faces:

“Mike and Peter had their own style of drawing. Both were very professional and extremely friendly.” -Barbara L.

“All my guests kept saying was ‘what a great idea!’ It was a big hit! I will definitely consider Goofy Faces for future events.” -Carol L.

“This was a great event; the artists were perfect and helped interact with the attendees. Would for sure book again!” -Michelle F.

“We were absolutely in love with our artist. She was fast, friendly, and efficient. We received many requests to bring her to our future events and the fee was extremely reasonable. I would book from Goofy Faces again in a heartbeat!” – J.D. L.

Goofy Faces Party Planning Guide

The new year is just weeks away! Whether you’re planning an event in January or September, Goofy Faces is here to help give you some event-planning tips and tricks!

Step 1: Determine the type of event you’re hosting

Goofy Faces Party Planning Guide - Where do you even begin? There are so many different ideas to choose from. Here are just a few:

  • Birthday party
  • Weddings
  • Tradeshows
  • Retirement
  • Valentine’s Day
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Employee Appreciation
  • Mother’s Day
  • Father’s Day
  • Senior All-Night Parties
  • Graduation Parties
  • Corporate picnics
  • Family Reunions
  • Welcome Week
  • Festival
  • Halloween
  • Holiday Party

Still, looking for inspiration? Click here for what is trending!

Step 2: Set a budget

Take your time determining how much your event or party is going to cost. A few things to consider:

  • Venue
  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Staff
  • Invitations
  • Entertainment
  • Permits (only if the location needs them)
  • Clean up costs

Step 3: Determine the date

Choosing a date for your party might seem like a very daunting task especially since there are 365 days to choose from. But it’s actually much easier than you might think! Here are a few things to consider when deciding what date to host:

  • Know your guest list
  • Skip popular vacation times
  • Consider the holidays (don’t forget bank holidays)
  • Think about potential weather and climate changes
  • Talk with your vendors and venues about availability

Step 4: Pick a location

It is never too early to begin searching for your event venue. Always consider the following:

  • Location
  • Parking
  • Capacity
  • Venue Layout
  • Venues services and amenities

If you are concerned it’s too late to find a venue, don’t be. Venues always have last minute openings, changes, or cancellations.

Step 5: Create a guest list

Remember to always keep a few things in mind like budget and venue capacities. But for an event like a wedding, a good rule of thumb is to invite immediate family members (parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and cousins), close friends, and significant others.

Step 6: Choose a theme

If your event allows for it, pick a theme. Click here for 65 ideas!

Step 7: Send invites to guests

It is best to send party invitations three weeks before parties like birthdays and general celebrations. But it is recommended to send invitations six to eight weeks for large events and weddings.

Step 8: Shop for decor

There is no better place to look for party decor inspiration than here! But when it comes time to shop, make sure to remember to stick to your predetermined budget. Do not forget to shop around for items that are on sale.

Step 9: Determine the food and drink menu

Pro tip: An adult will consume roughly one pound of food total and children will consume about a 1/2 pound. The more options you have the less you need of each. Don’t forget guests always eat and drink more in the evening than during the day.

If you’re struggling to determine the type of food and drinks to serve, check out Pinterest! They always have the best ideas.

Step 10: Secure entertainment

This is when you contact Goofy Faces! Every amazing event or party has stellar entertainment that keeps the fun going. Our artists are ready to bring fun for guests of all ages. Goofy Faces has artists located throughout the United States and can be booked easily on our website. Not sure of the costs? It’s Wedding Time…Make 2021 the Year of the Best Wedding Ever!

By Bryon Scott | July 28, 2021 | Comments Off on It’s Wedding Time…Make 2021 the Year of the Best Wedding Ever!

It’s Wedding Season! Make your 2021 Wedding the Best Ever!

Congratulations, the moment has finally happened! You’ve said yes and you’re looking forward to spending the rest of your life with your soulmate!

For many years planning a wedding has been relatively smooth sailing after someone pops the question. Engaged couples have had websites, apps, family, and friends on standby to help plan their big day. After the past year, the playbook for planning the celebration went out the window. Couples were postponing weddings, reinventing them virtually, and hosting the ceremony and reception months apart.

Couples who have postponed their weddings for weeks, months, or over a year are very excited for the return of wedding season! And it’s time to celebrate by hiring all the entertainment you’re going to need to celebrate this extra special day. WeddingWire recently shared the importance of hiring unique entertainment to be a part of your big day (our favorite recommendation was to hire a caricature artist!) Goofy Faces artists are experienced in bringing smiles, laughter, and entertainment to the newly married couple and their guests. Whether it is attending your happy hour, reception, or both, we don’t take up too much space but will fill the evening with memories and keepsakes for years to come.

Rather than postponing their wedding, some engaged couples have had to reinvent what the big day looks like. Weekday weddings are trending and many couples are taking advantage of it. Goofy Faces has over 500 artists nationwide and can be booked on weekdays. Just like a weekend celebration, our artists offer the same services during the week. That means that everyone gets a bag with each caricature to protect them and the bride and groom are still able to take cuts to the front of the line to get their live caricature drawn in minutes.

Hosting a reception months after getting married is still a huge celebration. Bringing your family and friends together for the first time in months is exciting and needs to be remembered. Goofy Faces can draw each of your family members individually or as couples while the rest of your family enjoys watching each drawing take shape!

Now that the 2021 wedding season has officially upon us, Goofy Faces artists are excited to be a part of your day. Our team is quick and easy to book and you’ll receive a response from us within 24 hours. Cannot get much quicker than that!

Worried about the costs? We’ve got you covered! We installed an easy-to-use wedding artists cost calculator on our Goofy Faces Website. Feel free to visit our site for more information in regards to booking an artist for your big day. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call at (248) 652-8910!

Don’t just take it from us, here’s what some of our amazing Goofy Faces clients have said about our artists!

Angela from Southgate, Michigan said. “Both artists were amazingly talented and genuinely nice people. We enjoyed having them at our event and would hire them again in a second.”

Elisha R. said, “Our artists arrived early, began early, and even stayed late to make sure everyone who wanted a picture was able to get one. Thanks!”

Lastly, J.D. from Lawrence, Kansas said, “We were absolutely in love with our artist. She was fast, friendly, and efficient. We received many requests to bring her to our future events and the fee was extremely reasonable. I would book from Goofy Faces again in a heartbeat!”

Each and every artist that we employ loves what they do and want to make sure that your event is a memorable experience. Invite us to your wedding. We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
